what is the difference between“bare” AT-C5-100BU and AT-C5-100WH

  • what is the difference between “bare” and the other kind I ordered:

100FT Blue High Quality Cat5e 350MHz UTP RJ45 Network Cable (New, Retail Box) - PrimeCables

100FT White High Quality Cat5e 350MHz UTP RJ45 Ethernet Bare Copper Network Cable (New, Retail Box) - PrimeCables

  • Thank you for your inquiry. AT-C5-100BU cable is bare copper where as the AT-C5-100WH cable is tinned copper.

    Here is the description :

Tinned copper has a layer of tin covered on the bare copper, tinned copper is easier to use for welding during cable production. However, in general, bare copper and tinned copper both have similar electronic properties.
