My Brother DCP-7040 printer still asks "replace toner " after i install a brand new comptible TN360 cartridge.
My Brother DCP-7040 printer still ask to replace toner after install a brand new comptible TN360 , any suggestion ?
Try the following troubleshooting please :
TN-330 / TN-360]Toner Reset Instructions
The reset gear on the toner cartridge did not properly contact and
reset the New Toner Sensor within the printer. The reset gear will operate
only once after the toner cartridge is installed and the position of the
gear cannot be reset after installation. To reset the Toner Life Display, a
manual reset procedure must be performed.
The following steps will need to be performed to manually reset the
DCP Printer Series
- Open the front cover.
- Press the Clear/Back button on the control panel.
The display will read “Replace Drum 1. YES 2. NO” (DISREGARD THIS
MESSAGE) Proceed to step 3.
- Press the start button, press the up or down arrow key until “00”
appears on the LCD display and then press OK.
- Close the front cover and the operation has now been completed.
